Computer Software Nottingham Limited is a privately owned company specialising in the design and manufacture of automatic control systems, software and materials handling equipment for the process industries.

The company designs and manufactures automatic control systems, weighing machines, materials storage solutions and handling equipment. We have a large amount of experience in solving individual material handling problems and also offer a consultancy service.

We have a network of representatives covering most of the world.

History

The Nottingham Automatic Scale Company Limited was formed in 1976 as the sister company to T. A. Shore Company Limited (Tascol), who manufactured automatic weighing and control equipment. In 1985 the name changed to Computer Software Nottingham to reflect a focus on the software and information systems aspects of the business.Up to early 2001, Tascol and CSNL operated together under the same ownership and management to provide a total package of mechanics, electrics and software to a varied section of the process industries, including rubber, plastics, animal feed, human food and building materials manufacturers.In April 2001, the approaching retirement of Barrie Crofts led to the decision to split the original T A Shore Company into two. Peter Shore, who had managed the bulk and packaging side for several years, started a new Company, Tascol Shore Engineering Limited, to handle sales of bag filling equipment and process scales. Nick Hamblin, who managed the controls and software side, acquired full ownership of CSNL who started trading as a separate organisation and took over the entire systems side of T A Shore Company's product line.

Now, CSNL has built a strong portfolio of control solutions for the process industries, including many new developments.
